Inventory and Traffic Policy

I. Prohibited Content

Your inventory shall neither include nor be linked to any of the following prohibited content:

  1. Illegal products and services: inventory must not constitute, facilitate, offer or promote illegal products, services or activities such as smuggling, money laundering, unauthorized ticket sales or human organs.
  2. Adult contents: inventory must not contain adult content which may be deemed sexually explicit, pornographic and obscene. This includes thinly censored nudity, depictions of people in explicit or suggestive positions, or activities that are overly suggestive or sexually provocative.
  3. Misleading or deceptive claims: inventory and business practice must not contain deceptive, false, or misleading content, including deceptive claims, offers, or methods.
  4. Third-party infringements: inventory must not contain content that infringes upon or violates the rights of any third party, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property rights, right of privacy, right of publicity, moral right or other personal or proprietary rights, such as illegal downloads, unauthorized copied material, torrent site, online pirating, etc.
  5. Counterfeits: inventory may not promote fake goods or documents, such as counterfeit degrees, money, passports or immigration papers.
  6. Drugs and drug paraphernalia: inventory must not promote the sale or use of illegal drugs, prescription, or recreational drugs.
  7. Endangered/unsafe supplements: inventory must not promote the sale or use of unsafe supplements including but not limited to tobacco, alcohol, liquor, spirits, poison, anabolic steroids, chitosan, comfrey, dehydroepiandrosterone, ephedra, and human growth hormones.
  8. Gambling: inventory must not promote or facilitate online real money gambling, real money games of skill or real money lotteries, including online real money casino, sports books, bingo, or poker.
  9. Controversial contents: inventory must not contain content that (i) exploits controversial political, religious or social issues for commercial purposes; (ii) may be reasonably deemed as vulgar, misrepresentative; (iii) may pertain to illegal activity.
  10. Hate content, sensitive topics and violence: inventory must not contain or promote shocking, sensational, offensive, threatening, libelous, profane, defamatory, harassing, profane, defamatory, harassing, disrespectful or excessively violent content, or any concepts that are hateful or disparaging towards any race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or nationality.
  11. Spyware, malware and illegal hacking: inventory must not contain worm, virus, backdoor, Trojan horse, software bombs, spyware, malware, phreaking, illegal file-sharing, or illegal hacking that results in an unexpected or deceptive experience. This includes links to sites containing these products.
  12. Weapons and weapons accessories: inventory must not promote the sale or use of weapons, firearms, bombs, ammunition, explosives and other weapons accessories, arms trafficking, or how-to guides for any of the foregoing.
  13. Prohibited financial products and services: inventory must not promote (i) financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings, or cryptocurrency; (ii) pyramid schemes; (iii) payday loans, paycheck advances or any other short-term loan intended to cover someone's expenses until their next payday.
  14. products targeting underage children: products are targeting the end users who are underage children under the applicable laws in the corresponding jurisdiction, such as people under sixteen (16) in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 or people under thirteen (13) in Children Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), must not promote products, services, or content that are inappropriate, illegal, or unsafe, or that exploit, mislead, or exert undue pressure on the age groups targeted.
  15. Others: site which is made for the sole purpose of clicking on advertisements; page that is “under construction”; unsolicited bulk commercial e-mailings or inappropriate newsgroup postings; file-sharing or torrent site; excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages;
  16. Inventory violating prevailing industry policies: inventory must not violate policies, principles, specifications or criteria of relevant industrial alliance, organizations or associations, such as Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) and Network Advertising Initiative (NAI).

II. Prohibited Traffic

Any of the following traffic is strictly prohibited:

  1. Unauthorized re-brokering: use, display, syndication, sublicensing or delivery of advertisements anywhere other than on the products you lawfully owned and operated.
  2. Artificial traffic: any traffic generated through automated programs or similar methods such as use of robot, spiders, spyware, steal ware, cookie-stuffing, meta refreshes, simulator, spamming, tunneling, injections and etc.
  3. Incentive traffic: use of incentive methods in order to make end users to download the products or retain the products for a certain period of time, including but not limited to offer or promise to offer currency, cheap or free access to movies or music, book, etc., unless such incentive traffic has been formally approved by us and our demand partners.
  4. Threaten traffic: use of threatening language or marks to make end user install the products, including but not limited to claiming that the end user’s device is under some threat which can be eliminated by installing, activating or using the promoted products, or claiming that the end user’s device will be under some threat if he/she doesn’t install the products, etc.
  5. Unauthorized retargeting: use of a software or any kind of technology to automatically redirect end user without his/her engagement or action to any undesignated site on which advertisements appear, unless such retargeting has been formally approved by us and our demand partners.
  6. Traffic that obscure advertisements: display of anything (such as pop-ups, expanding or frequent banners) that may obscure any portion of an advertisement or stripping, blocking, or filtering an advertisement by any means or in any way preventing or inhibiting the display of an advertisement in whole or in part.
  7. Hijacked traffic: installation of any program on an end user’s device or replace an end user’s home page, without such end user’s express and informed prior consent, which includes but not limited to silent/auto/force installment, etc.
  8. Fake information traffic: masking or obfuscating domains in any form; typo squatting; shoddy traffic (cheap/free traffic which are camouflaged to be expensive/charged traffic); use of Android icons to simulate system notification or claiming that the products will upgrade the Android system for end users, or delivery of any other deceptive information or use of any other method to mislead end users to install the products.
  9. Inappropriate video traffic: placing any video player behind canvas of web page; running multiple video ads on a single page simultaneously (multi-burn); display advertisements in in-stream video players without content or disabled playback.
  10. Other fraudulent traffic: excessive page reloading; auto-refresh; blacklist traffic; requests from or after 404 or other error messages; requests from or displays of advertisements within pop-over, pop-under windows or pop-ups (such as web site pop-ups, banner pop-ups, exit page pop-ups); request from personal web pages, free hosted pages, blank pages with no content, non-English language pages, or pages that only contain advertisements.

III. Alteration of Advertisements

Any of the following alteration of the Advertisements is not permitted:

  1. alter or manipulate any advertisements or standard advertisement behavior in any way without prior written approval from us and our demand partners.
  2. alter any portion of the Services, ad-tag or code provided by us or change the behavior, targeting, or delivery of any advertisement.
  3. re-order, modify, edit, obscure or truncate in any way the advertisements, including without limitation, the advertisements’ content, graphics, format, audio, video, sequence, or any other aspect of the advertisements, without proper authorization.

IV. Advertisement Placement

  1. No more than ten (10) advertisements may be displayed per page, unless agreed upon by both of you and us in writing.
  2. Page content must not obstruct any portion of the ad displayed.
  3. No advertisements may be placed on any non-content-based pages.
  4. No advertisements may be served on any downloadable applications.
  5. No advertisements may be placed behind a registration system without prior written approval from us and our demand partners.
  6. No advertisements may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.
  7. No in-banner video (does not include in-banner video advertisements served by us or our demand partner).
  8. No sound off in-stream video.
  9. No Below-the-Fold auto-play placements.
  10. Syndicated players must play content related to the site.
